Montana Guide Service

The Gardiner Late Hunt

Even if you do not book with us in the regular hunting season, we have a suggestion. Get a Montana Big Game Combination license and apply for the:

Special Gardiner Late Elk Hunt Permit

The best trophy elk hunt we have to offer is the Gardiner Late Elk Hunt in January and February. When you draw this special permit you will be hunting older class bulls on the Northern Yellowstone Winter Range in January or February. Our clients pay only $1,500 for guide service when they draw this four day special permit and we require only a $500 hunt booking deposit.
First, you must get a Montana elk license. There are two ways to get a Montana elk license. If you apply for an outfitter guaranteed elk license you will get a license. If you try for a non-certified license you will be in public drawing.
If you want to apply for the Gardiner Late Elk Hunt Permit and choose to obtain the guaranteed outfitter set-aside license, fill out and sign the client portion of our outfitter certification form. We will sign your outfitter certification when you return it to us with your license application and Cashier's Check made payable to Montana Dept. of Fish, Wildlife & Parks. You must also enclose your $500 deposit check. Please return all paper work to us. You can download forms by clicking on Book a Hunt, or we will mail forms to you.
We will be happy to answer your questions about Montana's new licensing process and make all necessary arrangements for your Montana hunts. Please call (406) 848-7265 with your questions.
