Chris Kelley

Chris with archery mountain lion
Chris has been the head archery guide and a rifle guide at the Royal Teton Ranch for the last 9 years.
For the last three years, Chris has consistently won the top spots from the Safari Club International for helping bow and rifle hunters take some of the biggest outfitter-sponsored bulls in Montana. In 1997, he bugled in the number-two elk for bowhunter Paul Backus. In 1996, he guided Paul's dad, Rick, to the number-one elk during the archery season. That same year he guided Walter Vollrath to the number-one elk during the rifle season. And in 1995, he and Rick Eisen stalked the number-three elk of the rifle season.
Chris has been hunting for 24 years and has personally taken antelope, mule deer, whitetail deer, mountain lion, black bear, coyote and elk--all with his bow.
He is also a freelance writer. His stories on elk-hunting have appeared in Petersen's Bowhunting and Field & Stream.
